first time skiing!

I skied for the first time on our national day!
HAPPY 43rd BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!
I miss homeeeeeeeee!

The ski trip was a one day trip organized by the MSO committee.
The trip to and fro from the snowy mountains, the ski gears and the day pass cost AUD115, which is a fairly good deal.
But we had to rent our ski outwear ourselves before heading up the snowy mountain!

look at how huge the gloves are! haha!

lawrence ski wear! He's gonna wear alot more layers underneath.
The temperature up there is roughly about -4 degrees?

We had to wake up at 4am in the morning cuz the bus leaves at 5am.
The bus journey to the snowy mountain is about 3.5 hours and leaving at 5am allows us to have a longer time to ski.

We reached bullocks flat (bottom of the mountain where you rent all the gears) at about 9am.
The whole process of trying on and wearing that transformer shoes took us nearly 1.5hours?
The boots are so hard to put on and so difficult to walk, not forgetting that they are quite heavy too!
After we tried on the boots, we had to collect our skis and skis poles.
And the skis must have weighed like 10kg?
I had so much difficulty bringing them walking here and there on the transformer shoes.
I got so tired before I even started skiing. haha.

check out our transformer shoes!

han and david! all fully geared and ready to go.
we are on the skitube (which is a train) that ferry us from bullocks flat all the way up to the snowy mountain.
The mountain that we went to is called Perisher blue.

caught stoning on the skitube up. Its 20mins ride.
And woohoo, look at my chubby cheeks. wahaha. How fat. Amazing.

And yay! Finally we reached!
Perisher Blue, here we come!

I know this is gonna sound quite dumb, but it's my first time seeing snow!!!!!
SO EXCITED CAN??
Although its not as nice as I hope it'll be, but still!
It's SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!~

Lawrence is very excited to see the snow too!

first time see snow, must take more pictures. LOL.
And there were like ten people with the same jacket, cuz everyone went to the same shop to hire the ski jackets.
And there was only 1 design for each sizes.

with han. her goggles were damn cool lah. So professional looking.
I look like a penguin.

the guys. edwin, david and lawrence.

on the skis.

It is so cold that your hand will turn red in 30 secs when you take it out of the gloves.
But the 'photo-loving' us kept taking pictures despite that.
Pictures more important than hand.

how perisher blue looks like.

me with all the heavy gears off!

After like 3 hours of skiing, I'm gonna take a rest.

Sleep on the iceeee!

now look around to see if there's anybody laughing at me.

attempt to get up cuz I saw people laughing. haha.

lawrence felt tired and took a rest too.

After the short recharge, we are ready to go again!

trying to stop after coming down from the slope.

stopping succeeded, so now for a picture!

the last few pictures that we took before we left.
I like these last 2 pictures. =)

And oh, I can't ski. =(
I fell down so many times.
The falling down part wasn't painful at all, but the getting up part is such a pain in the ass.
There were a couple of times I fell voluntary cuz I did not master the snake turning yet so I was gonna crash into the person in front of me and I didn't know how to turn.
So the only way was to fall to prevent the crash.
And there was a few times people crashed into me from behind when I was skiing, and so I fell.
Of course there were those times when the the speed was a lil too fast and I panicked and fell.

My muscles ached all over now from pulling myself up.
And I think I look like a swimmer now. Cuz i used so much of the hand muscle.
It really ain't an easy task getting up when you fell down.
Imagine the 10kg of skis + 4 kg of shoes on your legs, and the slippery-ness of the slope cuz of the melting snow, the long skis that's in your way hindering your every movement.
And when you finally get up on your skis, the skis tend to slid down themselves cuz it's too slippery and you fall again.
But all in all, it was still a fun fun experience.
I didn't regret going, in fact I enjoyed it alot.
Though of course it would have been more wonderful if I was like a expert skier.

The Ursula ball is this friday!
I dunno what to do with my hair! Urgh.

oldies galore

Back in Aussieland again.
The start of the hectic studying that's going to be.
My room's pretty messed up by me in a span of 3 days.
How wonderful. I'll try to keep it so that it doesn't look so tornado hit.
I've been watching far too many shows.
21, orphanage, blood brothers, a chinese odyssey-both 1 and 2, terminal, some lost and some hong kong drama that I don't understand.
get your ass down to do work. to do work. start doing work. to do work. start doing work.
Think it should be the mantra i repeat to myself everyday.
Oh! I'm going skiing. That should be pretty exciting! =)
I haven tried skiing before! It's just a one day trip up the snowy mountains, so I hope I don't return with aches and bruises all over.

Just before Berra.
I'm gonna post like so many pictures of just me. haha!

out with my parents to pay respect to my late grandma.

.
TCC. the manhatten fish market became fish sashimi due to our silly mistake. haha.

flying back with lawrence.
we met leon in the Sydney airport.
and guess what?
we miss the bus AGAIN! =(
our luck with buses are like zilch. absolutely zero.
We waited for like 3 hours?
Thinking that we were at the correct busstop, we passed off the bus that was like 20m down the street as a bus dropping its passengers.
And when we decided we should go check it out to be on the safe side, voom, the bus drove pass us.
Leaving us standing in the blistering cold.
Cab down to the city to catch the next earliest bus. Another 2 hours wait.
Gosh.
Reach berra at night.
The negative degree welcoming us back. haha.

went down to dickson yesterday to get groceries.
couldn't resist the temptation and we went ahead with our small miny steamboat.
hot spicy soup in the cold weather.
that's an enjoyment.

it doesn't look as nice but it taste great!
dumplings, mushrooms, sausages, chinese la chang, chicken and of course indomee.
Not alot but enough to make us contented. =)

gold with praying.

Went to settle the exam dates for the actuaries exam.
In my negligence, the amount of AUD 510 was written as AUD 500 and I had to spend 20 dollars to amend that stupid mistake.
Head down to Bugis to shop, well, I think browse seems to be the better word.
Dinner was spent munching down bibimbab, xiao long baos, sour spicy soup ramen and prawn wanton noodles.
Too much durians made my throat itch all the while. What's too much?
I ate like 4 durians in 2 days.
I'm trying to do an outfit post! haha! So bear with it.
Here's what I wore today.

Pardon the bad pose. It looks like I am having a really bad tummy ache.

Skirt: Tube top from Valley Girl
Belt: Dug out studded belt from ages ago
Shoes: Charles & Keith
Bag: Coach
Watch: Casio gold watch

Here's a picture of my belated hand-drawn birthday card. =)
My favourite characters!

Looking forward to Malaysia trip tomorrow and also the dark knight show and also the sleep over! =)

The Coach

It's been great. A fun holiday that is coming to an end soon, sadly.
I am left with like 1 week?
And there are still many things I need to do.

Like, buy a ball dress, buy shoes (oh oh! I bought the Marni inspired shoes that is quoting my dearie, ugly to perfection), see the doctor, visit my granny, meet friendssss and eat eat eat eat!
My dad brought my whole family to the Spring Court.

It's supposedly the oldest Chinese restaurant in Singapore.

My papa and mama!

The dishes there weren't exactly fantastic but the service was really good.
My favourite dish has to be the peking duck! Yummm!~

The peking duck!

family portrait. yeah. =]

Went to Sentosa with my family too! Haha!
My dad had this family day organised by his company.

On the way to Sentosa with my mama.

That's my papa in the background. LOL!

papa, mama and me.

The beaches in Singapore are so ugly as compared to the ones in Aussie.
The sands are coarse and the sea is so dirty in Sentosa and East Coast.

That's a cap made of balloons.
It doesn't really look like a cap to me though.

The usual place where everyone takes pictures at when they come to Sentosa.
Ignore my fugly face in the second picture. haha.

The night ended with the song of the sea.
Story line was so cheesy and lame, but the effects and the fountain deserve credits though.

Had tim sum with my sweets.

Didnt have much pictures as I was so hungry I was gobbling up every single thing.
I cannot express my love enough for hargow.
Those super delicious little things.

My belated birthday present!!

It was a surprise. I didn't expect this at all.
I love the vintage feel the bag has.
I love the wine colour.
I love the fact that it is a much more unique design as compared to the normal coach bags.
In case you are still wondering if I like the bag not, I wanna do a shout out to say that I LOVE IT!!

looking for my pressie.

yay! My pressie! Coach bag that I was told cost 600+..
Thank you for the big big pressiee.

Head over for our dinner! But I forgot the name of the restaurant.

Our entrees.

Our tapas.

The mains with our wine that I was too lazy to post.
Had like such a full dinner.
Night was spent playing PS2. haha.

I HATE BAD THOUGHTS!!
