Commencement Dinner

Tons of picturessss! Wahaha! Yesterday was the commencement dinner where you have to dress up for the event. Wore my dress that I bought in Bangkok! Oh man! I miss bangkok!! I wanna shopshop! I wanna live like a queen there again. haha! My zebra dress rocks! I like I like! Plus plus I helped Weimin put on her makeup! Call me the expert man. Seriously, I single-handedly trim her eyebrows and apply eyeshadow, eye liner, mascara, shimmer and blusher for her! And she said no one managed to put so much mascara for her as me, cause her eye lashes were really short. So all the professional makeup artist said she can't put mascara! The pre-dinner ceremony started around 7 where they serve champagne and juices but I went down too late. So no champagne for me. Boo... But never mind! The tons of pictures more than make up for it! =)

Our table had sitting arrangement lined up for us, so we can't sit where we want to sit. But surprise of surprise! I was sitting with Lawrence!! Plus Daryl and Hanyi. Such cool coincidence! We had some small little fun all by ourselves yeh! Laughing and kidding around like kids.

Hailstorm! 3 days holidays!

If someone were to ask me what's the most bizarre I saw, I would tell them I saw ice cubes pouring from the sky. And that really did happen! Omfg! Canberra rained ice on tuesday! It was freaking scary lah! Moreover, its like the first time I ever saw a hailstorm! Haha! Other than in the day after tomorrow that is. And well, I don't think many people have seen icecubes pouring from the top as well. I was in the common room doing my stuff and I saw people crowding around the entrance of the common room.

I was like, " WTH? Why people all crowding at the entrance? Nothing better to do is it?"

So being a true blue Singaporean, I went to look at what's the commotion about. And And And! I SAW THE SKY RAINING ICE CUBES! They're the size of those ice cubes you get in the tray! That was some sight! Everyone was very fascinated by the sight and were running and throwing the ice at each other, taking pictures of it. Its freaking painful to be hit by the cubes. That height and the velocity they are falling from. Gosh!

I know its like super unglam picture. Without makeup, with my hair like some cock, with my commonwealth tee and all but its the only picture i took with the ICE! haha! so yep! Bear with the ugliness lah! haha!

The union court, which is somewhere in the campus, had ice up to the calf area. And Zhong lost his slipper in the midst of taking pictures of the ice. It got stuck in the ice and never came out! haha!

We were all asked to evacuate to the common room and wait for the fire brigade to come to evaluate the situation. Had to stay there for 3 hours lah! But the good news was that school's cancelled for the next 3 days cuz of the damage it caused. There was some major short circuit and flooding in the school campus. So, the facilities were down. And thus we have our 3 days holidays! =)

Look at how badly beaten the tree is.

The courtyard looks as if it has grown grass overnight. The tree which used to be big and strong looks as if its balding now. They had to sweep away all the leaves and clean up the whole hostel. But still, i'm thankful for the break!

Before the hailstorm, I went for this Chinese New Year celebration held by the Singapore Society in ANU. Didn't know we weren't supposed to come in white or black, because its not the first day. So in the end, I came in my favourite colour-white and black! Lol!

Took a picture with the president. Its only a 20 bucks voucher at hidden dragon. So with the voucher, I went eat with min and Lawrence! Something pissed off happen, but well it ended the best it could lah. The only thing is I don't think I will be patronizing the shop anymore.

2 days after the hailstorm, we had a shopping trip to Woden. Some shopping center located about 40 mins bus ride away.
